Right, well it seems I have a few subscribers, so I’m putting out a vote for the next demo.
To cast your vote you will need to register on the forums. Then point your browser here to make your selection.
The choices are:
- Budbrain Megademo (maybe two parts)
- State of the Art (Spaceballs)
- Love (Fairlight)
Cast your vote and help influence the outcome. If there is no clear winner, then I will pick one of the tied demos myself.

Right now ADP is looking rather bland. I’m after a 300×300 pixel logo. If somebody would be willing to design me one, that’d be great!
For your hard work, your name can be immortalised in the image tag and/or in the bottom-right of the image.

Demo: 9 Fingers [H.264] [DivX]
Group: Spaceballs
Released: December, 1993
Spaceballs kicked the video-style demos up a notch when they released “State of the Art” back in July, 1992. The following year they released “9 Fingers” (at The Party), which took their original vector animation idea a stage further and introduced smaller, coloured polygons to give more depth than the previous vector silhouettes.
What made it all the more amazing was it ran on the original MC68000 7.14MHz Amiga 500.
A truly awesome demo.

I love my Amiga 1200 and there are still many loyal fans of this awesome machine.
From 1985-93 the Amiga was the “must have computer”. (Check the linked wiki.) The games were awesome, and then Doom happened and pretty much killed it overnight.
Gaming however, in my opinion, wasn’t its biggest asset. The demoscene was by far the best reason for ever owning an Amiga.
There will no doubt be a lot of unfortunate Amiga fans who, because of history, no longer have an Amiga. So here is a video podcast to fill that void.
I’m hoping to try and get the videos out at least once a week. And I may even include a voting system so the community can pick the next demo I cast. (I’ll wait till I have a few viewers first
)
