Demo #003 : Desert Dreams (Kefrens)
March 25th, 2006
Demo: Desert Dreams [H.264] [DivX]
Group: Kefrens
Released: April, 1993
Well people, you voted for it, and here it is. Nice demo weighing in at a massive 77.5MB per video stream. Quite a lengthy one so hope you enjoy it.
According to the text at the end, this was the last demo that Laxity actually did for non-AGA machines.
This demo is split into two parts, the first one tells a little (very little) story about their “Desert Dream” and the second-part is their “Ooh, ooh we’re demo-coders look what we can do” bit.
Brilliant music, not as dancy as the previous two demos, but very fitting and synchronisation to the visuals is impeccable.
Again, another one made to run on the original MC68000 7.14MHz Amiga 500.
Disk Images (.adz format): [Disk 1] [Disk 2] To convert to an ADF, use either WinZip or gzip.

jesus! if you record demos from the emulator, be sure that you release only demos that WORK on them…

I’m not recording them from an emulator, I’m using a real Amiga 1200 with all 68030 and lots of RAM.
Fact that it’s an AGA Amiga ‘may’ be causing Desert Dreams issues, or maybe I just got some dodgy disk images.

BIG thanks for capturing this, i’ve only just found this place and am downloading the first five demos.
